Riverside lake and leisure is based in the fens in Cambridgeshire and provides a scenic quiet location to enjoy your fishing breaks. We have caravan pitches which are either hard standing or grassed or some lovely lodges that can accommodate up to 6 adults.
The site is based next to the river Nene providing access to both lake and river fishing options. Each cabin has its own access up onto the riverside.
The site is located approx. a 10 minute drive from the local town of Ramsey, which has a Tesco among other shops and amenities. The site is approx. a 30 minute drive to the larger town of Huntingdon or the City of Peterborough. The surrounding villages and towns have lots of takeaways and restaurants. The popular historic city of Ely is approx 16 miles from the site. The site is also approx 20 miles of the popular city of Cambridge.
Within Ramsey there are two golf courses, one is a 9 hole course and the other is 18 hole course. Pidley has an 18 hole course, restaurant and bowling alley which is approx 11 miles from the site.
There are numerous fishing lakes in the surrounding area including Decoy Lakes, one of the UK's leading coarse fishery which is approx 8 miles from the site.
The site has a toilet block providing separate male and female toilet and shower access (not wheelchair friendly).
This is an adult only site.
The site allows well behaved dogs.
There are to be no fires however you can barbecue in designated areas.
Vehicles and personal belongings are to be left at entirely your own risk.
Any concerns or accidents must be reported immediately.
First aid kits and fire extinguishers are located around the site please familiarise yourself with their locations. Please don't remove these unless needed and if used please notify us immediately.
Anglers should have a valid fishing licence if fishing the lake and/or river.
Anglers should carry out their own risk assessment prior to each visit to ensure their own safety and the safety of others. Any health and safety concerns should be reported to Riverside Lake and Leisure immediately.
General things to be taken into consideration include any possible dangers such as unstable edges, steep banks, uneven ground, slippery surfaces, weather conditions, the time of day, wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, potential falling branches if fishing near trees, extinguishing any smoking materials etc.
We do request that you carry a first aid kit in your car where possible, we request that you carry a mobile phone, for night fishing please carry a torch or head torch, if possible please fish with a companion or if fishing alone please make somebody aware of your location and time of return. Please take any litter and smoking materials home or discard of them in the designated areas. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with any life saving equipment.
